Animal Update: What’s Causing Millions Of Starfish To Die Along The Pacific Coast?

In recent months, starfish, also known as sea stars, have been dying by the millions up and down the Pacific Coast. Over 20 species have been affected according to Dr. Jennifer Scarlett, a veterinarian with the San Francisco SPCA.

Study Finds Pacific Great White Shark Population At Least Five Times Previous Estimates

A recent study published in PLOS ONE found that the number of sharks swimming in the Pacific is around 2,400, about six times the number previously estimated.
