The West Coast has little to fear from the so-called “pollen vortex” of exploding allergens unleashed by the unusually cold and long polar vortex winter that plagued New York, Boston, and much of the northeastern United States.
It’s tough for allergy sufferers to appreciate the beauty of spring, and doctors say the drought California is facing is making it even tougher for them in the Bay Area.
Some allergy sufferers are tossing out the allergy medication and trying what they call sweet relief and turning to honey. They’re using local, unfiltered honey, made in the Bay Area in hopes of easing allergy symptoms.
The information will be used to see where bees are thriving – and where they need a little help in order to blossom.
