Late 19th Century Burial Ground Explored At South Bay Hospital

Archaeologists are nearing completion of excavating a potter’s field on the campus of Santa Clara Valley Medical Center that contains the graves of paupers dating back to the 1890s.

South Bay Medical Center Gets Permission To Move Recently Found Graves

A judge has given Santa Clara County permission to remove around 100 bodies from a forgotten cemetery discovered during construction at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, county officials said Friday.

Old Cemetery Discovered During Construction Of South Bay Medical Facility

Construction crews at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose have turned up more than a dozen pine boxes which could contain the remains of hospital patients who died more than a hundred years ago.
