A San Francisco man was arrested in Lafayette early Friday morning after leading authorities on a car chase that ended with a crash into a power pole that knocked out power to nearly 1,800 PG&E customers.
A vehicle struck a utility pole on state Highway 9, causing injury, blocking traffic in both directions and leaving more than 3,000 PG&E customers in unincorporated Santa Cruz County without power Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A car crashed into a utility pole, cutting power to approximately 3,500 customers in south San Jose Tuesday morning, according to PG&E.
