Presidents Day Weekend
Traffic slowed to a crawl on the Golden Gate Bridge Saturday evening due to the holiday weekend closure of the Bay Bridge, according to bridge officials. Commuters headed to San Francisco from the East Bay this Presidents Day weekend were warned they would not be able to travel on the Bay Bridge from Friday evening through Tuesday morning.
KCBS’ Mike Sugerman learned that you may be able to sing in the rain, but you can’t always do bridge construction work in the rain.
Officials at the Golden Gate Bridge expect a spike in traffic over Presidents Day weekend, when the upper deck of the Bay Bridge will be closed for construction.
