Body Of Man Who Fled Marin DUI Stop Recovered In Corte Madera Creek

The body of a Novato man who jumped into the Corte Madera Creek to evade police last month was recovered from the creek behind Adaline E. Kent Middle School in Kentfield on Monday, a Marin County sheriff’s lieutenant said.

Police Recover Statue Stolen From Campbell Church

A statue of Saint Bernadette was stolen sometime between Thursday night and Friday Morning from the Saint Mary Assyrian Chaldean Catholic Church. According to church members, a thief unbolted the statue and carried it off. The statue has stood outside the church for 15 years. The church sits just 100 yards from a police station.

A man found dead at the base of a cliff at Bodega Head on the Sonoma Coast Tuesday evening was identified Friday as 58-year-old Brian Christopher Abel of Sonoma.
