2nd Yosemite Tourist Investigated For Possible Case Of Plague

California health officials are investigating another possible case of plague in a tourist from Georgia who fell ill after visiting Yosemite National Park, the second case in less than a month.

Yosemite Camper Who Died From Rodent Disease Identified As East Bay Resident

A man who died after a trip to Yosemite National Park, where it is believed he contracted a rare disease spread by rodents, was an Alameda County resident and died there after returning from his trip, an Alameda County Health Department spokeswoman said Friday.
