Police Detail Rescue Of Bay Area Man, Sister In Caribbean

A boat captain and his first mate swam through dangerous waters for nearly a day before they were rescued after a sinking that was also survived by their two U.S. passengers, authorities in St. Lucia said on Friday.

A San Francisco man and his sister are recovering in the eastern Caribbean island of St. Lucia after their ship sank during a fishing trip, forcing them to swim almost 14 hours to reach land.
