NorCal Residents Relax As Wildfire Threat Abates

Residents of a tiny mountain town breathed easier Friday after air tankers and helicopters blunted the run of a massive wildfire in Northern California just outside Lassen Volcanic National Park.

Huge Northern California Wildfire Threatens Thousands Of Homes

A huge wildfire sparked by lightning in Northern California burned to the edge of three small towns Monday, scorching nearly 20,000 acres, and threatening thousands of homes as fearful residents sought safety miles away at an emergency shelter.
