A 22-year-old victim was walking with a group of people just after 8:30 p.m. when he got into a fight with another man between the science building and the library. After a struggle on the lawn, the victim ended up having his head slammed repeatedly against the sidewalk. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The victim, who is not a university student or employee, was sitting in a grassy area near the Smith/Carlos statue around 8 p.m. when he was attacked by three female suspects, all of whom are thought to have been between 15 and 20 years old, university spokeswoman Pat Lopes Harris said.
