Tour Of California To Begin In South, End In Santa Rosa

The Amgen Tour of California will take a new approach as it will start south and take cyclists northward up to Santa Rosa in 2013, for the first time of the race’s history.

Dutchman Robert Gesink Wins Amgen Tour Of California

Eight months after break his leg in a training accident, Dutchman Robert Gesink sealed his overall race title Sunday with a main field finish in the eighth stage of the Amgen Tour of California.

Georges Wins Stage 6, Zabriskie Leads Tour Of California

Sylvain Georges of France pedaled to a long, solo win and Dave Zabriskie maintained his race lead Friday with a main field finish in the mountainous Stage 6 of the Amgen Tour of California.

Sprinter Peter Sagan of Slovakia surged to the front in the final 100 yards to win his third straight stage and extend his race lead Tuesday in the third stage of the Tour of California.
