An elderly patient reported missing from an assisted-living facility in Castro Valley that was shut down earlier this month was found in San Jose on Friday
Recordings of 911 calls show that two workers at an East Bay assisted care center who helped residents after the state shut it down called emergency dispatchers four times over three days but never told them that the center was closed.
Authorities say they responded to four 911 calls at an East Bay assisted care facility where they say 14 patients were left practically abandoned before discovering that it was closed.
The California Department of Social Services this week moved to revoke the license for a Castro Valley assisted living facility where patients were allegedly left with inadequate care this weekend.
