If you're looking for a place to hangout after hours that is closer to SoMa, North Beach and the Marina, Coit Tower serves the late night crowd well. It is a permanent fixture on the San Francisco skyline perched on top of Telegraph Hill. Although the tower is not open at night, the views from Coit Tower are open all night. Get a little exercise in by taking the stairs all the way up to the base of the tower and look around for breathtaking views of downtown and surrounding areas.

The Endup is literally the place people end up when they are not ready for the party to stop. You can keep dancing the night away until 11 a.m. the next day on the weekends. There is only a lack of alcohol from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m., then you can keep going after the four hour break. Events vary but they often have a lineup of DJ sets that sometimes include a theme. Other nights you'll spot the Burning Man crowd there in the off season.
