For two nights only, television and Broadway star Nancy Dussault ('The Sound of Music,' 'Do Re Mi,' 'Bajour') is performing in 'Invention Champagne,' a tribute to legendary lyricist Alan Jay Lerner with tunes from shows such as 'My Fair Lady,' 'Brigadoon,' 'Camelot,' 'Gigi,' and 'Paint Your Wagon.' The special exhibit through July 31, 2015 is a treat for style-conscious mothers and vintage fashion fans. Gowns, accessories and shoes representing the most influential designers of the 20th century (1910-1980) have been curated into a show of highlights from the Brooklyn Museum Costume Collection in connection with the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Make it even more special with tea at the museum café and a coffee table book from the museum gift shop.
