She said she expected 7,000 visitors this weekend, blowing away the typical thousand daily visitors.

Wilber Labio of Cupertino is making a weekend of it in San Francisco, with his wife, kids and sister-in-law.

"I think it's great. Especially for the kids to see everything," said Labio. "I think last year we did it as well and they had a fun time."

Over at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, they charged on Saturday, but not Sunday. Paul Prince of Santa Barbara was in line.

"As soon as I heard it was going to be free on Sunday, I decided to come today," he said. "Because I think it will be crowded enough as it is."

The Contemporary Jewish Museum, Museum of the African Diaspora, Zeum, San Francisco Children's Museum and Yerba Buena Gardens Festival are also participating on Sunday.
