2 Hospitalized At Walnut Creek Party

WALNUT CREEK (BCN) - Two men were hospitalized with stab wounds following an incident in Walnut Creek early Sunday morning.

Officers responded about 2:20 a.m. to a home in the 400 block of Mayhew Way to a reported fight with a stabbing, according to Walnut Creek police. Officers located three men with injuries.

One man had been stabbed in the chest and a second victim had a stab wound in his back, according to police. A third victim was found lying injured in the street.

All three victims were taken to John Muir Medical Center.

Several people at the alleged party were detained and questioned.

Descriptions of what happened varied widely, according to police.

John Cowell, 19, of Concord, and a female juvenile were arrested for alleged public intoxication, according to police.

The alleged party and stabbing remain under investigation.
