Millions around the world were tuned in this past week as 33 Chilean miners were rescued, some 70 days after being trapped.

One-by-one, the miners were pulled up through a narrow, 2,040-foot deep shaft in a stunning rescue that was broadcast live around the world.

In KCBS' In Depth interview, Professor Harley Shaiken, the Director of the Center for Latin American Studies at UC Berkeley and an expert on labor issues discusses how the rescue efforts played out.
