Solano County Teacher Accused Of Sex With Student

FAIRFIELD (CBS 5/BCN) -- A Solano County high school teacher was in jail Tuesday night, accused of having sex with a male student.

27-year-old Felecia Killings, an English teacher at Rodriguez High School in Fairfield was booked into the jail in Fairfield on charges of having sex with a minor more than three years her junior and oral copulation with a person under 18, according to the booking log.

According to police, the male student was 16-years-old at the time of the alleged incident. He is now 17. Police are investigating the possibility she had sex with other students as well.

She posted $50,000 bail and was released at 2 a.m. Wednesday, a jail employee said. Police said Killings' alleged sexual relationship with the student began in December 2009.

Police in Vallejo are investigating because the sexual activities are alleged to have taken place at Killings' home in Vallejo.

Killings had been a teacher at Rodriguez High for five years.

Fairfield-Suisun School District Superintendent Jacki Cottingim-Dias told CBS 5 Killings was arrested on school property Tuesday evening. Cottingim-Dias said the school district became aware of the issue and notified police.

"We want to assure our parents in our community that we are cooperating with police," Cottingim-Dias said.

Killings has been placed on leave while the investigation continues, Cottingim-Dias said.
