Sacramento State Investigates 6 Sexual Assaults

SACRAMENTO (AP) -- Authorities say half a dozen students have reported being sexually assaulted on the California State University, Sacramento campus since the start of the school year.

The latest incident involved a female student who was walking to her vehicle when a man approached and touched her chest. Campus police Det. Scott Christian says the man fled when she pepper-sprayed his face.

The incident occurred in mid-November but was not reported to police until Nov. 22, The Sacramento Bee reported Wednesday. Another female student reported being assaulted in the same parking structure earlier the same evening.

In one previous case, a female student said she was kidnapped by three men who pulled her into a van and raped her in a parking lot at night.
