Jan Wahl Movie Review: The King's Speech
(KCBS) - KCBS Entertainment Editor Jan Wahl reviews "The King's Speech" (Rated R) based on the true story of Britain's King George IV. This man was not supposed to be King, and his journey to the throne is tangled and tongue-tied. He has a very pronounced stutterer, only one person can help him: a rebellious, eccentric Australian speech therapist. The film stars Colin Firth as the king, plus Geoffrey Rush, Guy Pearce, and Helena Bonham Carter.
