KCBS In Depth: Fighting Addiction

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) -- For more than half a century, the San Francisco-based Walden House has been offering addiction treatment throughout California.

While research continues to show that substance addiction is a disease, many continue to battle it as if it were just a matter of will power.

KCBS In Depth:

Vitka Eisen is the new CEO of the Walden House and is familiar with the issues surrounding addiction treatment.

She said they are constantly trying to keep up with the times and always looking at ways of better improving their methods of treatment.
