'New Kids' Jonathan Knight Comes Out

SAN FRANCISCO (99.7 NOW/CBSSF) - New Kids On The Block member Jonathan Knight officially came out of the closet, revealing the fact on the band's website. Knight revealed that he was gay "almost 20 years ago." While not surprising this day and age, it still kind of makes some of us say, "No, really?!?!"

Jonathan Knight of New Kids On The Block now joins a select club alongiside *NSync's Lance Bass as well as Menudo's Ricky Martin: all three have confirmed the fact that they are gay to the public. After serenading girls with such lines as "Please Don't Go Girl," it can be assumed that the "girl" was most likely metaphorical and for the sake of performance. A week prior to his  coming out party,  Knight's ex-girlfriend, former pop singer Tiffany revealed on Bravo's  "Watch What Happens Live" that he "became gay later." She reminisced on how they "used to get facials together" and described him as "fabulous."

Tiffany later apologized via Twitter for outing Knight, but Jonathan took it in stride responding, "Tiff, please don't lose any sleep over it! I know you weren't being mean, and I found it to be funny!"
