'Hereafter' Stops Showing In Japan Due To Tsunami Scenes

TOKYO, JAPAN (CBS/AP) - Clint Eastwood's film "Hereafter" has been pulled from Japanese theaters in the wake of the catastrophic earthquake and tsunami that devastated parts of the country last week.

The Bay Area Film icon's movie, which stars Matt Damon as former psychic, features a scene that depicts the 2004 tsunami in Indonesia.

Warner Entertainment Japan Inc. official Satoru Otani said Monday that theaters will no longer show the film, as the movie's terrifying tsunami scenes were "not appropriate" at this time.

"Hereafter" opened in Japan in late February at around 180 theaters. Warner Entertainment initially planned to show the movie until late March.
