Peninsula Ex-School Worker Charged With Child Molestation

SAN MATEO (CBS/AP) -- A former Menlo Park school district computer technician has pleaded not guilty to molesting a friend's 10-year-old daughter.

San Mateo District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said 46-year-old Yung Chi Chu entered the pleas Thursday to 12 counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14 and other sex counts.

Chu, who was arrested March 30, was released from jail Monday after posting of $250,000 bail.

Prosecutors said Chu fondled the girl, who he was tutoring on multiple occasions starting in October. Wagstaffe said the San Carlos resident also sent the girl pictures of naked men and asked her to send him naked pictures of herself.

Chu quit his job with the school district on March 2.
