Good Question: What Are Archeologists Finding At The Sutro Dig Site?

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5) -- This spot in San Francisco may be a pile of sand, but it's ready to tell a story. In this Good Question: What are archeologists finding at the Sutro dig site?

ANSWER: The remains of a number of old buildings along Pt. Lobos Avenue are being unearthed after 100 years. According to archeologist Tim Spillane, the area was once occupied by a number of small buildings that date back to 1894.

Archeologists have discovered pottery, bottles, coins and other artifacts dating back to early San Francisco. A new visitor's center is being built on the site.
