Dozens Of Rental Cars Destroyed In Fire Near San Francisco Airport

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- At least 45 vehicles were damaged or destroyed in a fire at the Hertz Rental Car overflow parking lot on Sunday afternoon, according to police.

The fire was reported at about 2:45 p.m. at 103 W. Harris Ave. near San Francisco International Airport.

South San Francisco police said witnesses heard what they believed to be fireworks prior to the fire.

No injuries were reported.
