SACRAMENTO (KCBS/AP) – The bodies of a missing 2-year-old Sacramento girl and her father have been found in the man’s vehicle in El Dorado County, this after a statewide AMBER alert was issued for the toddler on Friday.

FBI agents said the bodies of Madeline Samaan-Fay and 49-year-old Mourad “Moni” Samaan were discovered in his green Toyota 4Runner near Grizzly Flat Road, in a rural area near Placerville, on Saturday night.

The cause and time of death have not been determined.

The girl was last seen on August 7 with her father in a Sacramento grocery store.

Authorities said the girl was taken by her father after her mother was granted custody of Madeline, ending what had been a joint custody arrangement.

The mother reported her daughter missing on Tuesday.

  3. Lisa M. White says:

I just watched the news and his brother blamed everyone but him! Tell it like it is: what he did was selfish! kill yourself if you think that is the be all answer, but don’t kill the child, the only innocent party in this mess!

Mommy must be glad she won custody. Worked out really well. The guy’s an ass and the girl is an innocent victim, but it sounds like mommy was a real treat, too. Poor kid, she never had a chance. 🙁
