San Francisco Chamber Of Commerce Announces Ebbie Winners

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- The San Francisco Chamber of Commerce has announced the winners of its annual "Excellence in Business" awards, also known as Ebbies.

An Ebbie was awarded to San Francisco-based Catholic Healthcare West at a gala held at the Nob Hill Masonic Center earlier this week. According to Chamber officials, Catholic Healthcare West provided more than $1.4 billion in local charity care and community benefits this year.

A new award this year was the Community Champion category, which was given to Bi-Rite Market in the Dolores Heights neighborhood for what officials considered a focus on small businesses and local vendors.

Other awards including Economic Development and Emerging Growth were presented to Shorenstein Properties and Eventbrite, respectively.
