SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF)-  A number of Apple electronic devices were stolen from a FedEx truck parked in a loading dock at San Francisco’s Stonestown Galleria on Tuesday morning, and police are asking for the public’s help in solving the case.

The break-in was reported about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in a loading dock where the delivery truck had briefly been left unattended, police said.

Investigators are seeking eyewitness accounts from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the theft, police spokesman Sgt. Mike Andraychak said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.

    You mean to tell me Apple can obtain all your personal information and usage habbits but it can’t activate a GPS feature to locate the devices??? And the theif… Unbelievable!!
