San Jose Officer Fires At Domestic Disturbance Suspect, No One Hurt

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- The San Jose Police Department is investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred Saturday morning when officers responded to a report of a disturbance, police said.

Officers responded about 10:50 a.m. to the 6100 block of Snowberry Court, where someone had called 911 to report a 27-year-old family member was being aggressive toward other family members.

Arriving officers located the armed suspect, who had a firearm and acted threateningly, police Sgt. Jason Dwyer said.

One officer fired at least one round at the suspect but did not hit the suspect, Dwyer said.

The suspect fled on foot but was apprehended a short time later by other arriving officers who spotted him a few blocks from the home, Dwyer said.
