2 Stabbed In Brawl At Napa Golf Club Party

NAPA (CBS SF) - Two Fairfield men were stabbed during a melee at a party at the Chardonnay Golf Club southeast of Napa on Friday night, a Napa County sheriff's captain said.

There were between 500 and 800 people at the party, which was advertised online as a combination birthday party and "Spring Bling," Capt. Tracey Stuart said.

"I don't believe there was a guest list. People just showed up," Stuart said.

In addition to the stabbings, there were "tons of fights," Stuart said.

The Napa County Sheriff's Office responded to the golf club, located at 2555 Jameson Canyon Road, around 11 p.m. Friday.

Police from Vallejo and Napa, sheriff's deputies from Solano County, and officers from the California Highway Patrol assisted, Stuart said.

Sheriff's investigators are conducting interviews and trying to find videos of the brawl to identify the involved parties, Stuart said.

The injured men were taken to Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa, Stuart said. One was flown and the other was taken by ambulance.

"People have not been cooperating," she said.

The general manager of the Chardonnay Golf Club did not return a call for comment Monday morning.
