Super Moon Lights Up Bay Area Night Sky

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- The full moon Saturday night is no ordinary full moon. It's a 'super' moon.

Scientists say the moon will appear about 14% bigger and 30% brighter than normal full moons. In fact, this super moon is the brightest moon of 2012.

If you want to get the full effect, NASA astronomers recommend viewing the super moon during moonrise.
