Body Of Missing Tahoe Skydiver Found

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE (CBS/AP) -- Rescuers have found the body of a skydiver who went missing after jumping out of a helicopter at Lake Tahoe.

El Dorado County Sheriff's Lt. Pete Van Arnum told the Tahoe Daily Tribune that dive team members found the man's body about noon Tuesday in 15 feet of water between Camp Richardson and Pope Beach.

The man was among three skydivers who jumped about 8 a.m. Tuesday. At least two landed in the water, but one made it back to shore.

Van Arnum says the skydivers' parachutes deployed, and it's unclear why they didn't all make it to the beach.

The man's identity has not yet been released.
