Watch Silversun Pickups' Live On Letterman Encore Performance

NEW YORK (CBS SF/Live 105) - Days after their performance at Live 105' BFD show, Silversun Pickups walked on stage at the Ed Sullivan Theater coolly and calmly, but as soon as they plugged in, any resemblance of their calm and casual demeanor was gone as they tore into an almost hour-long exercise in face melting.

Although CBS hasn't had time to do any official scientific testing with lab coats, clipboards or stop watches, there's damn a good chance Silversun Pickups rocked Live on Letterman harder than anyone else ever has.

The band from the Silverlake area of Los Angeles played mostly of new material from their nest release Neck of the Woods, only playing one song from Swoon and Carnavas each; "Panic Switch" and "Lazy Eye," respectively. The reaction online was just as strong as in person, and fans spread it across Twitter and shared their gratitude with Letterman.

Fans in the UK even stepped away from the Queen's Jubilee to stream the show online.
