1000s Set Off From San Francisco On Avon Walk For Breast Cancer

The 10th Annual Avon Walk for Breast Cancer kicked off from San Francisco's Fort Mason Saturday.

The 2-day, 39.3 mile walk to raise funds for breast cancer goes from San Francisco, to Marin County and back.

Participants will stay overnight in Corte Madera at the Walk's "Wellness Village" equipped with pink tents, hot meals, showers, yoga, medical services and entertainment.

After the walk back to San Francisco, there will be a closing ceremony at Fort Mason.

All funds from the Walk will be donated to local breast cancer organizations.
