East Palo Alto Man Critically Injured In Self-Inflicted Shooting

EAST PALO ALTO (CBS SF) -- A 23-year-old man was in critical condition after apparently shooting himself in an East Palo Alto home Sunday evening, police said.

Officers responded to a report of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at a home in the 400 block of Wisteria Drive shortly after 5 p.m.

Police said arriving officers located a 23-year-old man suffering from a life-threatening injury.

He was taken to Stanford Hospital, where he remained in critical condition early Monday morning, according to police.

An investigation into the shooting is under way.
