SF Chefs 2012 Serves Up Fine Foods & Celebrity Chefs

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A plethora of featured chefs were on hand at the SF Chefs 2012 event in San Francisco's Union Square. According to the show's organizers, a number of demonstrations and educational gatherings, as well as about 150 chefs, mixologists and winemakers provided tasting options to choose from over the course of the week long event.

Chefs Jeffrey Saad (The Grove), Anjan Mitra (Dosa), Dave Arnold (International Culinary Center), Joanne Weir (Copita) and celebrity chef Tyler Florence (Wayfare Tavern & El Paseo) gave demonstrations throughout Saturday afternoon under the Union Square tent.

On Sunday, "Inside the Tent Classroom" bring customers up to speed on topics such as Livermore Valley wine, wine and chocolate pairings, and the world of juniper. Explanations are every hour beginning at 1:15pm.

In the Grand Tasting Tent, chefs from various restaurants will be on hand to provide tasting from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Food will be paired with wines, beers and spirits.

In the evening, a group of chefs, winemakers and mixologists will come in for more tasting, mingling and dancing, running from 7:30pm to 10:30pm.

SF Chefs 2012, an event to benefit Meals on Wheels of San Francisco, is also a showcase of the San Francisco and Northern California top food, wine and spirit makers.
