Search Continues For Boy Presumed Drowned In Yosemite

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK (CBS / AP) -- The search continues in Yosemite National Park for the body of a 6-year-old boy swept away late Wednesday in a rough stretch of the Merced River.

More than 15 park operatives, including law enforcement rangers and members of the search and rescue team on Friday were watching a mile-long stretch of the river where they believe the body of Jacob Adams of Yorba Linda might be lodged.

A park visitor on Wednesday was able to pluck the body of his 10-year-old brother, Andrew, from the water. Attempts to revive him were not successful.

The boys and their mother were on a church retreat when a hike to see Vernal Fall turned to tragedy. The mother sustained injuries trying to save them.

Four people have drowned in the park this year.
