Pot Should Be 'Totally Legal' Says Presidential Candidate Roseanne Barr In Oakland

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Comedian Roseanne Barr is making a run for president as the candidate for the Peace and Freedom Party.

Speaking at a packed town-hall meeting at Oakland's Oaksterdam University, Barr called for the legalization of marijuana.

Oaksterdam is the nation's first cannabis industry trade school.

Barr said she has glaucoma, and has smoked marijuana for several years.

"Marijuana should be totally legal" said Barr.

Barr, and running mate Cindy Sheehan, an anti-war activist are running a symbolic campaign. The pair will be on the ballot in a handful of states, but not enough to win.
