2 Killed In Shooting Near Pittsburg
PITTSBURG (CBS SF) -- Two people were killed in a shooting outside Pittsburg Sunday evening, according to the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office.
The shooting was reported at 5:25 p.m. on Buchanan Road and Ventura Drive, in an unincorporated area between Pittsburg and Antioch, Sheriff's Office spokesman Jimmy Lee said.
Responding officers found two shooting victims at the scene. One victim, a male, was declared dead at the scene around 20 minutes later, Lee said.
A second victim, a female, was taken to Sutter Delta Medical Center in Antioch, where she was declared dead.
Police did not have any suspect information or descriptions, and no arrests had been made. A homicide investigation was underway.
