Santa Rosa Man Arrested For Knife Attack On Couple In Their Front Yard

SANTA ROSA (CBS S) -- A 24-year-old Santa Rosa man was arrested after he allegedly attacked a couple in front of their home on Saturday.

A woman in a home on the 2800 block of Sunnywood Circle told police that she was in the front yard when a man approached her brandishing a knife, according to Sgt. Dave Linscomb.

The woman screamed and fought him off, and her husband ran to help, Linscomb said.

The husband was able to pull the attacker off the woman, secure the knife and detain the suspect until police arrived.

Both the suspect and victim were taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the incident.

The incident is being investigated by the Violent Crimes Investigations Team.
