Berkeley-Based Annie's Recalls Frozen Pizzas That May Contain Metal Fragments
BERKELEY (CBS/AP) -- A Berkeley-based company is recalling frozen pizzas that may contain metal fragments.
The voluntary recall was issued Tuesday for all varieties of Annie's Homegrown Rising Crust pizza. The recall covers boxes with "best by" dates of Jan. 9, 2013 to Sept. 14 of this year.
Annie's said a faulty screen at a flour mill left metal mesh fragments in flour and pizza dough.
However, no metal had been found in the finished product and there had been no reports of injuries.
