Police Arrest Woman Wanted On Burglary, Fraud, ID Theft Charges In San Carlos

SAN CARLOS (CBS SF) -- An Oakland woman was arrested on multiple charges after a shopper at Best Buy in San Carlos contacted San Mateo County sheriff's deputies because she was acting suspicious, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies from the San Carlos Patrol Bureau responded to a report of a woman acting suspiciously inside the Best Buy, at 1127 Industrial Road, sheriff's officials said.

Deputies contacted the woman along with two accomplices, inside the store.

During the ensuing investigation, deputies found fraudulently altered debit and gift cards and a California driver's license, sheriff's officials said.

The suspect, Robinque Manuel, 21, also had two outstanding arrest warrants, and was arrested by sheriff's deputies, according to the sheriff's office.

Manuel was booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility on suspicion of burglary, identity theft, possession of a forged identification card, possession of a counterfeit card and two outside county misdemeanor warrants, sheriff's officials said.

Deputies later discovered Manuel had attempted to transport marijuana into the jail and added a felony charge of bringing an illegal substance into a jail to her charges.
