Scotts Valley Man Arrested For Slashing Tires In Theater Parking Lot

SCOTTS VALLEY (CBS SF) -- A Scotts Valley man seen allegedly slashing tires in a movie theater parking lot Thursday was arrested on charges including possession of stolen property, police said.

Police were called to the Cinelux Cinemas at 226 Mt. Hermon Road around 10:12 p.m. after an intoxicated subject was reported slashing tires in the parking lot, according to Sgt. David Bell.

The suspect had left when police arrived, but officers were able to get a description and license plate number of his vehicle.

A deputy in the San Lorenzo Valley recognized the vehicle description as being connected to a subject in the area, and was able to provide an address to officers, Bell said.

The suspect vehicle was found at the address.

An individual matching the suspect's description was found in the driveway attempting to dispose of a hubcap he was suspected of stealing from one of the victim vehicles, and in possession of a knife allegedly used to slash tires, Bell said.

The suspect, identified as Adrian Angel Sanchez, 28, was arrested on suspicion of vandalism, possession of a dagger, possession of stolen property and public intoxication, Bell said.
