Junior Ranger Writes Heartwarming Apology Letter To Yosemite After Taking Sticks Home

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK (CBS SF) - A man who says he works as a ranger in Yosemite National Park turned to the internet to share a story of one very honest junior ranger.

The Reddit user, who goes by the name of bestmattever, uploaded a photo of a hand written letter he says he received at the park.

In the letter, a girl identified as Evie admits that she accidentally brought home two sticks from her time as a junior ranger in the park.

"I know I'm not supposed to take thinks from the park, so I am sending them back. Please put them in nature," Evie writes.

Bestmattever said he wrote back to Evie and her parents to say how proud the rangers were of her efforts to protect nature and promised to return the sticks to the park.

The post about Evie's letter was the number two trending post on Reddit Wednesday morning and also recieved more than 2,000 likes on the park's official Facebook page. Click here to see the full size letter.
