Man Caught Reading Porn Magazine With Child In El Cerrito Safeway Women's Bathroom
EL CERRITO (CBS SF) -- An El Sobrante man was arrested at a Safeway in El Cerrito over the weekend after allegedly reading a pornographic magazine while accompanied by a small child in the women's restroom, smoking a cocaine-laced joint and stealing a soda, police said Tuesday.
Officers were responding to an earlier report of shoplifting at the Safeway at 11450 San Pablo Ave. Sunday morning when a customer alerted them to the incident, police said.
A girl had entered the store's women's restroom, where she saw a small child and a man looking at a porn magazine and smelled smoke. The girl told her mother, who alerted officers, according to police.
Police located the man, a 32-year-old, who admitted to smoking a marijuana cigarette laced with cocaine inside the women's restroom and to stealing a bottle of soda from the store.
Police arrested him on suspicion of petty theft and drug possession and took him to county jail in Martinez.
