All Lanes Of NB I-280 Reopened After Injury Crash In San Jose

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- All lanes of the northbound Interstate Highway 280 to southbound state Highway 87 connector in San Jose were opened after a major injury accident closed lanes for more than an hour Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was first reported at about 2:05 a.m., the CHP said. A Sig-alert was issued at 2:41 a.m.

All lanes reopened at 3:57 a.m., the CHP said.

The interchange at highways 280 and 87 was closed while crews cleared a collision that may have resulted in a fatality, according to the CHP.

Lanes on southbound Highway 87 to the Alma Avenue off-ramp were also closed, the CHP said.

Information about the collision, and possible injuries, was not immediately available.
