Mountain Lion Spotted In Woodside

WOODSIDE (CBS SF) - San Mateo County authorities are reminding people to be careful after a mountain lion was spotted in Woodside early Monday morning.

The cat was seen at about 2:10 a.m. in the area of Portola Road and Sand Hill Road, county emergency officials said.

Authorities warn residents not to approach mountain lions, especially those that are feeding or with offspring.

They also advise avoiding hiking or jogging when mountain lions are most active—at dawn, dusk, and at night—and keeping a close eye on small children.
