Jan Wahl Movie Review: The Internship (PG-13)

THE INTERNSHIP (PG-13)

Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson are a couple of funny guys able to give us witty and sometimes touching characters. This time they are a couple of glib salesmen who have been fired and now facing the question: What can they do to make a living? In a rather impossible plot line, they end up at Google as interns.

We see what an amazing "fantasy land" the Google campus is, as well as our two guys learning app creation, sales and customer service. It's a weak script that should have been terrific—a good idea brought down to clichés and adolescent humor. Still, we are all hungry for any kind of light comedy right now, and for that...

Two & 1/2 hats.
