Giants' Minor League Affiliate Hosting 'Salute To Scandal Night' In Honor Of Weiner

(CBS Sports) - File under "gloriously inevitable": The Richmond Flying Squirrels, Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, on Aug. 1 will hold "Salute to Scandal Night," in which fans, in honor of disgraced New York City mayoral candidate and board-certified dirty birdy Anthony Weiner, will be invited to text pictures of their weiners.

In this instance—and the distinction is horribly necessary—"weiners" refers to the edible encased meat sold under the name "hot dog" at ballparks across this fair and forgiving land.

"Scandal night is meant to be a fun, tongue in cheek night and what hotter of a scandal right now than Anthony Weiner," Flying Squirrels Vice President and COO Todd "Parney" Parnell said. "His scandal just couldn't have come at a better time in regards to the Flying Squirrels promotional calendar."
